I was thrilled to go for radio adds on June 26th of this year, but I was even more thrilled to find out from my radio promoter, David Kunert that SiriusXM Watercolors was one of the 1st stations to add my song! I'm happy to report my song "Over and Over Again (You Just Keep On Blessing Me)" has been in the top 10 songs on SiriusXM Watercolors for the last few weeks, but last week, it was the #1 song!!! I had a blast supporting my Lil' Big Brother, Michael Anthony Fields Jr. last night!  Fellow saxman, Marcus Anderson brought the house down at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame!  For those that don't know, Mike is who produced my CD, "Don't Let the Moment Pass You By." 

I had the honor of recording with my bro, Mike Fields!  That's right, if you missed this concert, no worries, there was a live recording of the event!  Great music and a great audience, couldn't ask for much more!  Update! I have had the privilege of playing with Zach and Colton Swon off and on since they were 12 and 15 years old!  Even as teenagers, there was no doubt in my mind they were destined to be superstars!!!  I am proud to see them hold their own with superstars like Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley!  It is always an honor and pure enjoyment to reconnect with them when they're home!  Here are a few pics of us playing their annual Salvation Army concert and Muskogee's G Fest music festival...

It was called "An Evening of Jazz," but perhaps it should have been called "An Evening of Bass and Sax!"  If you missed it, you missed a great night of jazz at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame!  National recording artist, Tom Braxton was in the house along with fellow local saxman, Eldredge Jackson!  We were there to support Michael Fields Jr. in the release of his new CD, "Mr. Fields."  Make sure you pick up the CD.  All three of us saxophone players are featured on it as well as smooth jazz guitarist, Tim…

For those of you that follow me, you know the Swon Brothers, Colton & Zach are like little brothers to me!  It was my honor as the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame to acknowledge them as the 2013 Rising Stars!  Thank you to NBC and the Voice for exposing the world to the Swon's enormous talent and personalities!  Proud of my lil' Bros!!! 

This night was a double honor for me!!!  I had the privilege of inducting my friend, the late great Wayman Tisdale into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame by playing with one of my all time musical heroes, Marcus Miller!!! This was a night to remember for sure!!! The "Wayman Tisdale Story" director, Brian Schodorf  flew in from LA to premier the documentary.  Wayman's band drove up to perform musical tribute with Marcus Miller.  It truly was a special night for a special man!
